Celebrating 60 Years of Evensong
Evensong is a sundown service that combines the spoken word with selections of music for a sacred closing to the Sabbath. The program takes place in the University Church on selected Sabbaths throughout the year and has been a tradition at Walla Walla University since the spring of 1963.
History
Evensong started in the spring of 1963, when the organ arrived at the University Church, to acquaint and bless people at the close of Sabbath.
Join Us
Celebrate the 60th anniversaryof Evensong with us on Saturday April 29th, during Alumni Weekend, in the University church, 7 p.m. and 8:15 p.m. during our Milestones and Mission Celebration.
